How much is a private GP appointment at SABA?
A standard appointment is £135 for 30 minutes with a GMC-registered GP at our Thremhall Park clinic.
Which appointment do I need?
- Two or more concerns? Book the 45-minute extended appointment (£185) so your GP has time to cover everything in one visit.
- Only need ear wax removed? If a GP, nurse or pharmacist has already checked your ears, book ear wax removal on its own for £75 (both ears). If not, book the GP consultation with ear wax removal for £175.
How does that compare with other UK private GPs?
SABA's £135 sits within the typical UK range for a 20–30-minute, in-person appointment. Cheaper prices are usually for shorter or video appointments.
UK prices from All Health and Care, 2026. Which? found national providers charging from £49 for 15 minutes. A video GP can't examine your ears, chest, skin or tummy.

What's included, and what costs extra?
The £135 covers your consultation and examination. Tests, medicines and some paperwork can add to the bill, so ask for the cost before anything is added.

Is a private GP worth it compared with the NHS?
For many people, yes, when speed, time or a face-to-face examination matters. Fewer than 6 in 10 patients in England found it easy to phone their NHS GP surgery in 2026 (56.9%, GP Patient Survey). NHS GP care is free and is still the better choice for long-term conditions and problems that can wait.
Seeing a private GP doesn't affect your NHS registration. You can use both.
When to get urgent help instead
A GP appointment isn't for emergencies. Call 999 or go to A&E for signs of a heart attack or stroke, serious injury, or any life-threatening emergency. If it's urgent but not life-threatening, contact NHS 111.
